Pittsburgh Penguins Domino's Pizza Commercial

After defeating the Detroit Red Wings in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, Petr Sykora was asked what kept him going through the lengthy overtime periods. He said it was Domino's pizza.  Playing off that interview, I made this Penguins Stanley Cup "Commercial" supporting the pizza that helped beat Detroit in Triple Overtime.

"A Pittsburgh version of the popular Coors Light commercials featuring Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin and a bunch of drunk yinzers."

Released on January 5, 2008, Benstonium's fake Iron City commercials quickly found wide-spread internet success.  First featured on Ebaumsworld.com, it became the Most Viewed Video of the Week on the popular video website.  That same week, KISS-FM DJs Mikey and Big Bob came across the videos on YouTube and featured them on their Morning FreakShow.  Their audience of Pittsburgh listeners were first exposed to the talents of Benson and the Benstonium crew.  The next day, 105.9 The X ran the videos multiple times during their morning show with Tim Benz
Within the first two days, the Benstonium videos had received over 50,000 hits thanks to the radio promotions.  Their impact grabbed the attention of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Iron City Brewing.  The Steelers took offense to the videos that used their coach to promote a local beer with talk of 300 pound stippers, while Iron City praised the videos.  They were one of the "biggest promotions" Iron City had ever seen, according to representatives in the sales department.
In early February, the videos had been noticed by local news organizations KDKA and WTAE.  On February 5, 2008, the Benstonium videos made their television debut as WTAE-TV News featured the videos in a segment during their morning broadcast!   The most-successful Benstonium videos ever have registered over 300,000 official views online and have been seen on every continent.  Get outta tahn!!

Drunk Pool

Benson's first all-drunk video!  It was a last minute video project for a class. The assignment was to shoot a video using only close-ups, but not necessarily containing a story. Video was shot and edited in less than 10 hours, and, keep in mind, Benson was drinking IC Lights during production and was still drunk while editing.  Nevertheless, the project received an A+.  Starring Kevin Dobson and Chris Benson.

The Retarded

In Dormont, Pennsylvania circa 1984, life is crime, and crime is perverse.  Franco Alfredo, a local immigrant paperboy played by Mike Evangelista, learns mob life first hand when he becomes the protege of local kingpin, Rufus Goosten.  He is initiated into a family held together by excessive boozing and its ties to an internet pedophilia outfit.  When Mickey "The Ped" (ped = pedophile), played by Joe Flaherty, is ratted out as a key player in his family's ill-conceived kiddie porn ring, the crime world is left in turmoil.  The headquarters for Mickey's pedo-network are raided by two of Dormont's hard-nosed "pigs", trigger-happy Lieutenant Jack Rockhard and his hotshot sidekick A.C. Woodbridge, played by Lee Taylor and Zac Jaber.  Mickey becomes an outsider to his associates:  Mackenzie "The Securi-Man", played by Brandon MacKenzie, loses faith in Mickey, frisking him with less-than-usual enthusiasm.  Vagiant, an 8-foot tall primordial fairy-toughman (a Goosten creation) played by Andrew Solecki, possesses the strength of ten men, but will his Giant heart forgive Mickey?  Can a local paperboy without secondary education and little common sense prove the savior of a Goosten crime family that is falling apart?

With the production help of fallen Benstonium friend Kevin Dobson, Chris Benson delivers another sure blockbuster hit featuring a star-studded cast.
