The wait is over… This year’s Epic Tribute to the Pittsburgh Penguins is finally here! The video concentrates on the Mellon Arena’s storied past more so than this particular Penguins season. It was styled after HBO’s “The Pacific”, with handpainted/etched images, and pieces of chalk drawing the videos epic final image.
Last year, Benson’s Stanley Cup Tribute featured a 3D ice rink with dramatic game footage overlayed on the ice surface in order to tell the story of the 2009 Stanley Cup Champion Penguins. The video has been viewed over 100,000 times and is considered the quintessential tribute to the Stanley Cup champs. This years edition claims to be even better than the ’09 version, but you can be the judge of that.
Benson’s goal for this new video is to have it played on the JumboTron of either the Mellon Arena or the Consol Energy Center. With your help we can show the Penguins organization what kind of an impact this tribute has made on their fans. We need you to sign up and support the video by clicking here.
